Vintage Gold Evans Table Top Lighter Why an Evans Lighter?The Evans Company (also known as The Evans Case Company and The Evans Lighter Company), located in Attleboro Massachusetts first began as handbag and accessory manufacturer in the early teens. By the early to mid 20s they began producing lighters using the lift arm system, similar to the system used by Alfred Dunhill except that the flint wheel was mounted vertically rather than horizontally. The Evans Company produced many beautiful lighters with this system incorporating enameled designed cases to house the mechanism. They made matching cigarette cases and many beautiful perfume atomizers with similar designed cases. Why this Evans Lighter?This rare naptha Evans lighter is in good condition with minor surface scratches that you can see in the pictures. The collectible lighter is gold plated. It is in perfect working order and comes with a copy of the instructions. Evans Fine China Table Top Lighter & Ashtray This Evans Lighter has a 4 1/4 inch diameter and 2 3/4 inch hieght the ashtray has a 5 1/2 inch diameter and 1 1/2 inch hieght, and both weights 1 lb 1.8 oz combined. They are navy and light blue with a gold lighter and cigarette holder in the middle and gold fish circulating on them. The lighter is in perfect working order and the ash tray has a minor discolored spot in the middle. Ladies Vintage Antique Art Deco Evans Lift Arm Cigarette Lighter & Etched Case

This Elegant Art Deco ladies Cigarette Case with chain, and Evans "lift arm" lighter is believed dated circa 1922 and extremely rare! Believed silver plated and chrome, it is unusually etched with a Goddess and what appears to be two Italian Greyhounds, signifying feminine exotic wealth and elegance. The gold colored-inside cigarette partition has a still working spring loaded clip for holding small ladies cigarettes. It has a mirror and blue velvet partition for the Evan's "lift arm" lighter. It is believed the partition behind the mirror was used for the ladies ashes. Measuring 2" x 3" it is in excellent condition with the exception of a blackened discoloring on the base (see image #10) (perhaps from hot ashes?) Please make payment via Paypal or personal check.
